Profile of skills and competences
   Composition of the qualification
The common module of the qualification is entrepreneurship. In addition, one of the following modules must also be selected: tractor maintenance and repair, maintenance and repair of agricultural machinery or maintenance and repair of livestock farming machinery.

Vocational skills and competences required for completion of the qualification
Those who have completed the qualification shall
-know how to install, service and repair tractors or other agricultural or livestock farming machinery, depending on their specialisation area, and acquire and sell accessories and spare parts for these;
-be capable of assuming responsibility for machinery maintenance services in technical and economic terms;
-command the use of quality systems;
-be familiar with the principles of electronic data transfer and the use of advanced technologies;
-command electrical, hydraulic, mechanical and pneumatic solutions used in machinery;
-know how to service machinery and guide customers in issues related to maintenance;
-know how to test and repair broken machinery and estimate costs arising from different measures;
-be familiar with basic business processes;
-command the principles of customer-focused service activities;
-be able to co-operate with other professionals operating in the same field.

Range of occupations accessible to the holder of the certificate
Those who have completed the Further Qualification for Agricultural Mechanics may work as entrepreneurs with brand-specific maintenance contracts and service responsibility in a certain geographic area, as agricultural or livestock farming machinery entrepreneurs or as employees.

Officially recognised ways of obtaining the certificate
The qualification is obtained by demonstrating vocational skills in competence tests. National qualification requirements have been defined in core curricula drawn up by the National Board of Education. Education and training leading to the qualification is arranged when necessary. This involves drawing up an individual study plan which includes a learning plan and a competence test plan.

Entry requirements
Qualifications may be completed irrespective of how the vocational skills and competences have been obtained.

Additional information
The organisation and supervision of competence tests is the responsibility of Qualification Committees. The Qualification Committees represent employers, employees, teachers and, when necessary, entrepreneurs in the field.
